The University of Oregon requires employees who participate in any purchasing decision on behalf of UO to sign an annual Code of Ethics statement. Signed statements should be stored in the signatory's office or department and not sent to PCS.
The Code of Ethics Statement is required for employees who have any of the following responsibilities:
- Authorization to commit funds or budget authority.
- Contract signature authority
- Making, negotiating, or approving purchasing or contracting decisions.
- Defining requirements, specifications, scope of work, or other deliverables provided by a supplier.
