Locating and Verifying Annual Delegated Contracting Authority Recertification Knowledge Check
Individuals with Delegated Contracting Authority (Level 1 and Level 2) must complete a recertification knowledge check annually to maintain their authority. This is an asynchronous eLearning course and should take less than 20 minutes.
Important Details:
- Attempts: You have 5 attempts to pass the recertification. Failing all 5 attempts will result in the expiration of your contracting authority.
- Deadline: Complete the recertification knowledge check by the end of the fiscal year to maintain your contracting authority. FY26 ends June 30, 2026.
- New Authorities: If you earned your contracting authority in the current fiscal year, this requirement will not take effect until next fiscal year.
- Level 2 Contracting Authority (L2CA): To retain your L2CA, you must continue to meet all Level 1 Contracting Authority (L1CA) requirements, including passing this annual recertification.
If your contracting authority is expired, you must retake the Procurement and Contracting for Goods and Services at UO class. Procurement and Contracting for Goods and Services at UO class availability and registration are available in the Procurement Portal under Register for a PCS Class.
