Hello Campus Partners,

We are excited to announce the University of Oregon Duck Depot expansion, partnering with Unimarket. This transition will enhance and streamline University procurement operations. The focus of this project is to implement expanded eProcurement offerings and include invoicing capabilities. Whether you’re new to using Duck Depot or one of our tried-and-true users, this new implementation will have a positive impact on your purchase order creation and vendor payment experience.

While this will be a new software solution, it’s still Duck Depot, just with a few enhancements and expanded functionalities! A few notable changes include:

  • Online vendor registration system for efficient vendor onboarding and payment.
  • Enhanced purchase order workflow. Allowing all University purchase orders to be processed directly through Duck Depot simplifying the purchasing process.  
  • An Invoicing module to complete the experience. Allowing for improved processing and reconciliation of invoices within Duck Depot.
  • Streamlining department accounting duties by eliminating the need for a separate Duck Depot PCard.  

Over the last year, Purchasing and Contracting Services and Business Affairs have been working with various stakeholders and subject matter experts across the University to collect requirements, assess technologies, and complete the planning and initial design for our upgraded Duck Depot solution.

Over the next few months, the project implementation team will set up a pilot program with select campus Duck Depot users. If you are interested in becoming a pilot user, please email duckdepot@uoregon.edu.  We look forward to the positive impact that Unimarket will bring to the University’s procurement processes and are committed to supporting our campus community throughout this transition. We will be providing additional updates as the project progresses and hope to roll out the system University wide by the end of fall term.
